Whether it’s £10 from a car boot sale or £1,000 from a marathon, every contribution to Bourne Relief’s work is valued and makes a difference. Everybody has a part to play, whether you’re young or old, male or female, a parent, grandparent or child.
If you need a bit of inspiration, take a look at our list of fundraising ideas:
Pretty much any challenge is an opportunity to gather sponsorship, whether you take part in a long distance bike ride or try and stay silent for 24 hours.
Have a party:
People are much more likely to support your fundraising if they’re having fun at the same time, so why not organise a coffee morning, fancy dress party or a clothes swap?
Sell your wares:
Are you handy with a pair of knitting needles or a sewing machine? Do you make the best strawberry jam or custard tarts for miles around? Then you’re onto a fundraising winner.
Offer your services:
Everyone has a handy skill they can trade in return for donations. Even kids can offer to wash cars, sweep leaves, walk dogs, or pack shopping at a supermarket till.
Hold a competition:
Whether it’s football or jumping jacks, getting everyone involved in a challenge can be loads of fun. Charge people to enter, then give away a percentage of the money as a prize.
